The GriffinOT online packages are designed to help teachers and parents understand and support their children’s sensory processing and/or motor skill challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, children of all ages who may have sensory issues, motor skill or developmental delays, autism, or ADHD. Whilst we wholeheartedly believe that direct children’s occupational therapy (OT) intervention is best practice, we are aware that in many cases there is limited or no access to occupational therapists. Our online training and programmes can be used alongside direct OT provision or as a standalone training resource.

If you want to learn more about Sensory Processing Disorder, how it affects children and how to help, our online course ‘Sensory Processing: What’s the Fuss?’ could be a good solution for you.  We also have a free introductory course if you’re not ready to commit to the full course just yet.

If your child or fine motor skill delays, including maybe struggling with their pencil grip or finds using scissors really tricky, then our fine motor skill development programme may be helpful.  This is an online programme consisting of over 150 developmentally sequenced fine motor activities.  It is designed to teach adults how to help children to improve the fine motor skills the need to be success with self-care (e.g. buttons) and education activities (e.g. pencil control and scissor skills).  Each activity has an instructional video which shows adults how to do the activity correctly and tips on what to avoid.  In addition, there are educational videos designed to help improve the adult’s knowledge of fine motor skill development.

Please visit our website for further information.

Q How much does the training cost?

Fine Motor Skills Programme £24 per level (32 activities)
Sensory Processing Disorder Training £36 (4.5. hours of training)

Q Does my child need a diagnosis before I start?

Our programmes all assume that you have no knowledge and start and the basics and build from there. If your child is having functional difficulties our programmes will give you ideas on how to help them.

Q Who has written the programmes?

All programmes are designed and written by Kim Griffin. Kim is an occupational therapist with over fifteen years experience working with children. She has a passion for supporting children with sensory processing challenges, autism and dyspraxia. Her current focus is creating online resources for parents and educators to ensure they have access to affordable occupational therapy supports for their children.
