The GriffinOT online packages are designed to help teachers and parents understand and support their children’s sensory processing and/or motor skill challenges. This includes, but is not limited to, children of all ages who may have sensory issues, motor skill or developmental delays, autism, or ADHD. Whilst we wholeheartedly believe that direct children’s occupational therapy (OT) intervention is best practice, we are aware that in many cases there is limited or no access to occupational therapists. Our online training and programmes can be used alongside direct OT provision or as a standalone training resource.
If you want to learn more about Sensory Processing Disorder, how it affects children and how to help, our online course ‘Sensory Processing: What’s the Fuss?’ could be a good solution for you. We also have a free introductory course if you’re not ready to commit to the full course just yet.
If your child or fine motor skill delays, including maybe struggling with their pencil grip or finds using scissors really tricky, then our fine motor skill development programme may be helpful. This is an online programme consisting of over 150 developmentally sequenced fine motor activities. It is designed to teach adults how to help children to improve the fine motor skills the need to be success with self-care (e.g. buttons) and education activities (e.g. pencil control and scissor skills). Each activity has an instructional video which shows adults how to do the activity correctly and tips on what to avoid. In addition, there are educational videos designed to help improve the adult’s knowledge of fine motor skill development.
